Bob Dorough (1923— ) is a bebop jazz pianist and vocalist.
a important contribution of his, even so, is when the voice & writer of several of the songs for Schoolhouse Rock, which appeared on Saturday mornings in the 1970s and 1980s on ABC television affiliates. (Dorough too directed several of the Schoolhouse Rock shorts.)
Innate inside Arkansas, Dorough also grew higher within Texas. He moved to New York City in about 1950, working as a jazzman & song writer. He has performed through a US and Europe, having sleep in Paris for a period.
Besides a songs of Schoolhouse Rock, perchance his best known song was "Comin' Home Baby", manufactured popular by Mel Tormé. He as well has the distinctiin of existence one of the couple of musicians to record a vocal performance on a Miles Davis album.
